For anyone who wants to buy Black Shark 2 but does not want to pay $40 for the full version, Direct2Drive.co.uk are currently selling the full version for £14.95, saving you about £10. I couldn't see anything specific in the description to say this was definitely the full version, so I emailed their customer support who confirmed that it is the full stand-alone game.

I think I will treat myself and buy this after I finish work today :)

So so, we need another day for flying around, with a helicopter ....  ;D

The Ka-50 Black Shark has more or less the same requirement for a ramp start as the A-10C (good checklist in the forum, or just ask... i have same). A little shorter is the ramp start, because you don´t need to wait for the modern corrupt capitalisms electronic for aliment  ;D

But the flying is more harder - in particular the low level fly and the hover, .... this is much harder than the A-10C.

Weapon firing is not so complicate as in A-10C, you have only a Cannon, Laser guide rockets, unguided rockets and some unguided bombs. And this bird is under normal condition only for day missions (no FLIR, only NVGs).
 
Final: you need less button on the HOTAS than the A-10C!!!

Thanks for the info Ghost, very helpful! I have already found a profile for my Warthog Joystick & Throttle on the ED forum, and I will search for the startup guide soon.

Good to hear that the ramp start is quicker, although I bet it is easier to hover in a Ka-50 than an A-10C :P

I'm downloading this now and I might get time to try out a training mission before dinner.

What i forgot - you will need the trim button everytime! Everytime you change anything (Collective or Cycle) you need to trim - it make the handling of the helicopter easier.
 
So we have three important thing to remember during your fly: TRIM, TRIM, TRIM  ;)
